I love it when technology offers fantastic marketing tools for practically no money!

I just came across a new online application that can create mini-commercial for your products easily and quickly for $30 a year.

The application is called Voicethread. This application will hold essentially any type of media (images, documents and videos) and allows people to make comments in 5 different ways - using voice (with a microphone or telephone), text, audio file, or video (with a webcam) - and share them with anyone they wish

Here are some of the applications for voicethread:

• Upload pictures, renderings or video of your models. Then using a digital recorder, ask your prospects or buyers to to tell you what they liked about these pictures, rendering or the model. Then create an online commercial using these recorded endorsements from actual people.

• Every two weeks, have the Sales Consultant or Project Manager take photos of homes under construction, upload them to Voicethread and record some brief comments on the progress. It could improve customer communication and differentiate you from the competition. (phone calls go down, communication goes up!)

• Take some pictures or video of a new family moving in, post it to voicethread and ask the neighbors to welcome the new homeowners. A nice touch for referral building.
