Simplify your life with scheduling polls Print E-mail

Have you ever e-mailed back and forth with multiple individuals trying to settle on a date and time for an e-meeting? You can easily generate 20 to 25 e-mails between a little as three individuals just to set up one meeting! Well all of that can now go away, thank you.

There are several new, easy to use and free tools that will allow you to send one e-mail to poll multiple attendees for the best time to meet. Most of these tools do the same thing, but with slightly different styles and interfaces.  Here are my recommendations:

The first (and my favorite) is www.doodle.ch a small but effective utility creates a link to poll with open dates. The potential attendees select the best times for them and Doodle summarizes the results. I love its simplicity and reliability. Also, everyone who I have used it with has understood how to use it intuitively.

Here are a few more that I have not tried, but provide additional bells and whistles.

www.moreganize.ch - Very similar to Doodle.ch but with more polling options

www.scheduleonce.com - in beta but looking very snazzy with a clean look and simple instructions

www.timebridge.com - highly rated by several top computing magazines

www.meetingwizard.com - for people who like many drop down boxes and options

As with all meetings, make sure you have a PLAN:

  • Purpose
  • Limits (start and end times)
  • Agenda
  • Next Actions

Enjoy all the extra time you'll free up for other things!
